Drives trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver construction precast and related materials, supplies and structures. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order. Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting materials, supplies and structures. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions checking that vehicle is properly positioned. Obtain signatures for delivered services when required. Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, radios or phones to exchange necessary information with supervisors or other drivers. May be in driving training to understand road way rules and regulations towards obtaining Guam commercial drivers license and while waiting for delays of scheduling with the Guam Department of Motor Vehicles.
Special wage rate: Work to be performed on DPRI-funded projects and projects covered by Davis Bacon, Service Contracts Act, and/or Executive Order 14206 will be paid no less than the indicated wage rate but may be paid more where special rates apply.
